Health and Wellness – 5 Tips For Men and Women For Better Health

It’s almost like a vicious circle. Health and wellness is very important to both men and women and is key to an individual’s well being and it is incumbent upon us to take responsibility for our health. So throughout this article, I am going to share some tips for both men and women to have a better quality of life

Tip number one

You are to major extent what you eat. Eat poor food and you will have a poor quality of life. To eat right is not as hard as it seems. There is no question that health food and convenience do not go hand in hand. However with a little extra organization you can turn the table and as result of which you will feel a lot better for it.

Tip number two

Moderation; do not eat large meals two to three times a day. Reduce your portion size and eat more frequently. Sure this may require a little more planning but once you get it down it will take no time at all. Put together small little snacks so that you can nibble when you feel hungry. Then at dinner time, you will not need to have as large a meal.

Tip number three

It is widely known that breakfast is one of the most important meals of the day. It is also widely known that a lot of people do not eat breakfast. They get a fancy pants coffee that has lots of sugars, which sustains them throughout the morning. Not a good idea in the long run. Instead, eat some fresh fruit, such as bananas, apples, oranges, pears and grapefruit. This way you get good fiber and a little energy boost from the natural sugars. This will not weigh you down either, if your OK with eating in the morning then you can also add a bowl of porridge or some whole grains.

Tip number four

Drink plenty of water; you do not want your body to become dehydrated. Water can also help with mental clarity and it will also prevent you from wanting to over eat. If you can drink water about fifteen minutes before you eat and not while you eat, do it. This little tip will help with digestion.

Tip Number 5

Exercise. Your body needs to move, this does not mean that you have to be hours at the gym. Keep it simple and keep it fun. When it comes to exercise variety is the spice of life. Do not do just one exercise routine repeatedly, instead vary your routines and alternate between cardio, weights and stretching exercises.…

Fat Loss For Quick Fitness – Three Fat Loss Tactics For Body Toning Fitness

Fat and flab loss is the number one fitness goal of both men and women around the world. The problem is most advice is either too overwhelming – or downright ineffective to begin with. Here are 3 unconventional, yet simple, fat loss tips to help you lose the flab, tone-up, look awesome and feel phenomenal.

1) Although breakfast is important – it DOES NOT have to be eaten first thing in the morning. I don’t eat breakfast until 10 or 11 am. And it wasn’t until I started doing this that I found it MUCH easier to keep my body fat down in the zone where I feel and look my best. The women and men who adopt this ‘meal shifting’ tactic love it because it helps them reduce calories and burn more fat by reducing the ‘daily window’ of calorie consumption.

Essentially – by condensing the amount of time, during the day, to consume calories – it makes it more difficult to ingest too many calories. This ‘unconventional’ tactic may not be popular with ‘by the book’ type nutritionists. But the truth is – it works and is quite safe and conservative for most people. And you will not lose any muscle – only fat and flab.

2) It’s OK to go 4 hours between meals. I know this may go against some things you’ve heard – such as – “You need to eat every 2 hours or your metabolism will shut down.” … but the truth is – your metabolism will not shut down. This is some kind of old ‘gym myth’ – and just isn’t true. Think about it – you are not a machine that needs food every 2 hours, around the clock. The human body is much more intelligent and efficient than that.

The human body was created with natural powers of inherent strength and flexibility – one of those being the ability to rely on calories at irregular, non-predetermined intervals which is in-line with nature itself.

3) Believe it or not – you don’t have to keep “changing your workouts to shock your body – and stay lean, etc…” – that’s another bull$#!t ‘gym myth’ that simply isn’t true. There are women and men who can find a program that works for them, delivers great results – and they can stick with that program forever – maybe with some minor variations. That’s it.

The ridiculous ‘gym terms’ such as plateau, sticking point, stale or stagnated – are all ‘made-up’ to create more excuses for why certain programs don’t deliver results – and to confuse ‘fitness seekers’ into thinking that fitness success is much more complicated than it actually is.

These are just 3 fitness and fat loss tips to help you move forward in your quest for physical success. For more fitness and fat loss tips, articles and programs be sure to visit……

Health Club Management Software To Run Your Gym Efficiently

The precondition for achieving success in every business is excellent service. This holds true for health clubs as well. When you own a club, your main aim should be to provide the best services to your members. This is possible only when you are able to manage your time effectively. As the number of members increase, you will find it extremely difficult to take care of different things like security, member tracking, etc. To make things easier, it is best if you use health club management software. This will make your work really easy and you can concentrate on ways to improve your business. If you want to know about the benefits that you can get from such application, you can have a look at this article.

Controlling the Right of Entry

The software will automatically control the right of entry of the members based on their membership time. If it expires, they will not be given access to your gym. This program also helps to send reminders to clients about their outstanding payments and due dates. The working hours and the attendance of the staff can also be tracked using this feature.

Managing Clients

One of the most important features is the management of clients. You can keep a record of their attendance, asses their fitness, communicate with customers and keep track about them. You can also fix the working schedule of your members as per your and their convenience. If any client upgrades from one session to another, you can record it using health club management software. In case he/she transfers from one location of your gym to any other location, that can also be tracked with this application.

Taking Care of Billing

This is one of the most daunting tasks. Managing accounts is not easy unless you use any software application. Generating bills, tracking commission of your employees, diverging payment modes, finding the deposits that have been made in the bank and many other payment related issues are some of the functions that can be performed easily using this program.

Generating Reports

When you use such computer applications, you can easily generate different kinds of reports which in turn will help you to execute different tasks required for effective club management. Some of the reports that can be created include staff attendance report, member regularity reports, reports of market, conversion and sales analysis and many others. If you use software, you will be able to get these data at the perfect time. You can then give your attention on the areas which are weak and improve the quality of your services even more.

Improve Penis Power With Superfoods

The foods men eat may have a pronounced effect on the health of their penis. Foods containing vitamins and minerals specific to penis health support sexual function, nerve transmission and testosterone levels when consumed regularly. While it is possible to support penis health through eating specific superfoods, it can be hard to achieve every single day. Men should eat a balanced diet, use recommended nutritional supplements, and explore penis health crèmes as ways of increasing vitamins and minerals for reproductive health.

Ginger: Ginger is a warming and invigorating plant that increases circulation to the extremities and the pelvic region, supporting healthy penile erections by improving blood flow. The root of the ginger plant is a rich source of essential oils, flavonoids and other plant chemicals, which open up blood vessels once ingested and also reduce platelet aggregation. In a study published in Food and Chemical Toxicology in 2010, researchers fed mice ginger root for 65 days. By the end of the study, the mice had increased testosterone levels, increased sperm count and motility, and increased sexual organ weight. Take ginger root as a superfood tea, purchase it as a herbal extract, or consume fresh root each day with your meals. If you are on heart or blood thinning medications, check with your doctor or pharmacist before using ginger products.

Nuts : Eat nuts for your nuts, and for your penis health. Nuts such as almonds, cashews, peanuts, brazil nuts and pecans contain dense amounts of nutrients essential for male sexual health. Magnesium for nervous system health, selenium for prostate health, protein for energy, chromium for lasting blood sugar levels, and essential fatty acids for nerve transmission. While nuts contain a variety of essential fatty acids, the most common fatty acid found in nuts is oleic acid. Nerves throughout the body, including in nerves in the penis, require oleic acid to form a protective coating around the nerve fiber. Without this protective sheath, known as myelin, nerve messages become confused and fail to transmit appropriately. Consume a small handful of mixed nuts each day to promote nerve health in your penis and boost energy levels.

Mushrooms: Mushrooms have been used for vitality, longevity and sexual health for thousands of years. While white button mushrooms are the most commonly consumed edible mushroom, the world is filled with hundreds of species of edible and medicinal mushrooms, some of which may be useful for penis health. A superfood and medicinal mushroom from the Himalayas, Cordyceps sinensis, has been extensively researched for its many health promoting properties, including sexual enhancement. Cordyceps has a positive effect on nitric oxide (NO) in the penis, acting in a similar way to the drug Viagra. It also increases testosterone levels and according to a study in 2009, Cordyceps has a beneficial effect on both sexual performance and fertility of animals. Find dried cordyceps from an Asian grocer or take Cordyceps in the form of a dried extract.

Fruits:Eating fruit may not sound very masculine, but most …

Odontogenic Causes of Sinusitis and Cone Beam Diagnostics

On May 7th of this year, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences & Department of Otolaryngology held their 5th Annual Update in Sino-Nasal Disorders and Allergy. One of the topics discussed was "Clinical Assessment of Dental Pathology for Otolaryngologists and Review of Emerging Dental Imaging".

With the recent addition of the 3D cone beam imaging, a new technology for the dental community, dentists and periodontists have been able to radiographically diagnose periodontal or endodontic problems that may be causing, or contributing to, unresolved or difficult to treat sinusitis in patients.

The trend for the future may be for dental / periodontal practitioners who have cone beam to work hand-in-hand with ENT's and doctors, helping them to be on the lookout for dental issues such as periodontitis and possible endodontic (root canal) issues that may be a possible cause of sinusitis. It is suggested that there may be value in physicians referring their patients for dental or periodontal evaluation, if there is evidence of dental problems. Indications could include:

1) Red, swollen or bleeding gums
2) Extensive dental work, crowns, root canals or large fillings in the upper molars
3) Sensitivity to chewing, temperature or percussion in upper molars

A simple examination to detect potential dental issues can be completed by a physician in 5 minutes, and the instruments needed to do so are few and inexpensive. Some questions that will guide the examiner are:

1) Is there any tooth discomfort? When did it start? What prompts it? Was any treatment rendered?
2) When was the patient's last dental exam? How often do they see their dentist?
3) Does the patient have any crowns, large fillings or root canals in the maxillary posterior teeth?
4) Is the patient missing upper teeth? When and why were they lost?
5) Was the patient ever diagnosed with periodontal disease? Do they smoke, have loose teeth or bleeding gums? …

Basketball Fitness Training – Why Every Hooper Should Hill Sprint

Serious basketball coaches are always looking for ways to get an edge on the competition – to gain an advantage. It’s why you spend so much time researching methods of training that will make your players faster and stronger – and jump higher – without taking up too much time to get results.

That’s why I believe that running hill sprints (which includes running bleachers and stairs) is a must for any basketball player.

This is because hill sprints provide a number of benefits to the basketball athlete. Here are the Top 6:

1. Hill sprints provide the perfect combination of strength and speed training.

It’s like lifting weights and sprinting at the same time. The hill gives resistance to your athlete’s sprints, making them more difficult while being shorter in distance and duration. Including hill sprints in your training program can bring great results in as little as 15 minutes 1 or 2 times per week.

2. Hill sprints build stamina.

Endurance is something that every basketball player needs – but it is a special kind of endurance. If you want your athletes to perform at their peak, then low, slow distance types of cardio just won’t work. Their endurance training needs to mimic the demands of the game. Those needs being – short bouts of intense exertion broken up by periods of lower intensities.

Hill sprints provide just this type of interval training. They will take your players’ hearts and lungs to intensities far greater than those found in jogging or traditional types of endurance training. Their body will become used to reaching these higher levels, and recovering quickly in between the “sprints.”

More and more scientific studies are showing that VO2 Max (the traditional measure of aerobic endurance) is improved as much – or more- by using high intensity interval-type exercise like hill sprinting.

Want your team to have their “wind” at the end of the game? Hill sprint.

3. Hill sprints increase ankle strength – helping to prevent one of the most common injuries in sports – the ankle sprain.

Ankles are made stronger due to the need to push off harder when sprinting up the hill. Because of the incline, more drive is needed than when sprinting on a flat surface. Improved ankle strength also leads to the ability to push off harder during the game – benefiting a player’s important “first step” and lengthening their stride when sprinting in a breakaway on the court.

4. Hill sprints increase basketball players’ speed and explosiveness.

This is because hill training promotes two key factors in running faster and jumping higher. First, it forces proper knee lift – essential for driving the legs downward and back for more force. Second, hill sprinting makes the sprinter dorsi-flex their foot while running. The closer the toes are brought to the shin, the more force they can apply on ground contact. Think of dorsi-flexing as loading your foot – then unloading it into the ground – pushing you forward.

Explosiveness …

Canadian Dental Insurance Coverage

Obtaining dental insurance is crucial for Canadians because the majority of the provinces’ health care program does not provide dental insurance coverage, and the ones that do, typically offer it to children between the ages 0 to 12.

For many individuals and families, out-of-pocket dental expenses can put a significant dent in the budget, making the purchase of dental insurance a virtual necessity to offset the costs. Individuals that are not able to obtain dental insurance through an employer’s group plan can get Canadian dental insurance quotes online from insurance providers who can fill in the gaps in their provincial plans.

Getting dental insurance quotes is a wise decision, and it allows you to select the dental plan that is right for you and for your family.

How to get Canadian dental insurance quotes

One of the quickest and easiest ways to obtain a Canadian dental insurance quote is through the internet. Many insurance carriers provide quotes online for dental coverage, along with pertinent information and details of various dental plans.

The internet is a powerful tool for obtaining insurance quotes because it allows an individual to compare plans side-by-side in a relatively short amount of time. Dental insurance plans vary in the services they cover, monthly premiums, and methods of reimbursement. For instance, some plans may cover dental procedures for cosmetic purposes, while others stipulate that they do not.

Like most people, you want to get the dental coverage that you need at a price you can afford. When comparing dental insurance plans, you may find that some of the services offered are not important to you, so the first step is to determine your insurance needs and those of your family. You should consider facts such as: if you have children, they may eventually require braces; as you age, dentures or other dental prosthetic devices are likely to become a need. Taking the time to examine the terms and conditions of more than one plan will enable you to choose the dental coverage that suits you best without necessarily compromising your budget.

Types of dental coverage benefits

Most dental plans offer both preventative and reparative benefits. This means that in addition to coverage for regular diagnostic and preventative services, they also provide coverage for treatment of dental problems. A good dental plan will cover a significant portion of the cost of dental services and required procedures.

Some basic diagnostic and preventative dental services include: examinations every 6 months, cleanings and regular x-rays. Some basic dental procedures include: fillings, root canals, tooth extractions, and gum treatments. Some of the major dental services that are typically covered at 50% of the cost include: dental crowns, bridgework, and partial or complete dentures. In some cases, there are coverage maximums, so be sure to read the terms and conditions of the contract and all its fine print.

Dental Care and Expenses

Common dental problems include tarter build-up, cavities, gingivitis and gum disease, all of which usually result from lack of dental care. …

Uncircumcised Men Face Penis Health Risk Factors

Until the late 20th century, circumcision of male infants at birth was considered routine and necessary. However, medical research over the last few decades supported the idea that circumcision constituted an unnecessary surgical procedure. Some critics even argue that circumcision amounts to mutilation and takes away the individual’s right to choose.

On the other hand, more recent studies have found that circumcision does, in fact, provide multiple health benefits over the lifetime of a male. A recent news article entitled “Fewer Circumcisions Could Cost the US Billions” (The News, 23 August 2012) reports on a study conducted at Johns Hopkins University which revealed that men with an intact foreskin are likely to spend an average of $313 per year beyond what their circumcised counterparts pay due to increased health problems.

This is not to say that men who are uncircumcised should begin planning for surgery any time soon. Many of the risks associated with an uncircumcised penis can be alleviated through proper penis care, including good hygiene, treatment with penis-specific vitamins and minerals, and avoiding unprotected sex.

Health benefits of circumcision

Circumcision is practiced in most parts of the world and involves ablating (cutting away) the protective sheath of skin that covers the glans of the penis. While this was traditionally done for religious reasons, research has shown that men who are circumcised are less prone to infection, sexually transmitted diseases, and aids. On the other hand, circumcision is not without its drawbacks, as it can cause reduced penile sensitivity later in life.

Risk factors related to intact foreskin

For many men’s health experts, the recent conclusion seems to be that circumcision is preferred. An intact foreskin has been linked to numerous health problems, as described below:

· InfectionWhile the foreskin tends to protect the glans (head) of the penis from chafing and provides a degree of natural lubrication, it is also the perfect breeding ground for fungal and bacterial infections. Men who are not circumcised are more likely to develop balanitis, an inflammatory condition which presents as swelling, redness, rash, itching and discharge. An uncircumcised penis is also more prone to fungal infections such as jock itch.

· Phimosis – A common complaint among uncircumcised men is the inability to retract the foreskin fully during an erection. This condition can be quite painful and prevent men from enjoying intercourse. It can even lead to impotence in cases where anxiety over the associated pain can prevent an erection from occurring.

· Hypersensitivity – Men who have an intact foreskin often report having an oversensitive penis. This problem is typically related to phimosis, as the foreskin cannot be retracted fully and the glans is not accustomed to direct contact. An oversensitive penis can prevent men from enjoying sexual intercourse or even masturbation.

Protecting the uncircumcised penis

· Fight off infections – Avoiding infections is often a matter of personal hygiene and penis care. Washing the area under the foreskin daily and treating it with a vitamin crème …

Common Pet Health Questions

Everybody's been there before. Your faithful and loving companion, be it canine, feline, feathered friend, fishy follower or scaled supporter, begins exhibiting signs that all is just not right with the world. Whether it is listlessness, accessibility to function, lack of focus or lack of appetite, the multitude of symptoms plaguing your animal at any given time may be quite easy to miss unless you know what to look for. Although too expansive a category to pigeonhole in general, this article will address some of the more common pet health questions.

Stopping the Problem Before it Starts

First of all, you will find that many common heath problems can be cured with simple preventative maintenance. Your pet should be regularly groomed, pedicured (when appropriate), fed a proper diet, exercised, vaccinated, and treated with products which prevent pests (again where appropriate). If you do this, then 85-90% of your pet's health issues will never occur, as this is where most pet health issues arise in the first place … negligence.

Basic Pet health Questions
Some of the basic pet health questions listed below may not apply to all species, nor be as authoritative a listing of all possible health issues which may occur with your pet. Rather, it is a short treatment of some of the more common pet health questions asked by many pet owners today.

# 1: When is it safe to Vaccinate My Baby Animal?

This varies with the species of animal, but generally, you can vaccinate them at about two months. Vaccinations should then roughly be spaced at about four months, or as best directed by your veterinarian.

# 2: When Should I Spay My Female Animal?

There is a lot of dispute over this, as many believe that it is safer for your female animal to have a healthy batch of offspring first. After that, she should have stopped weaning first and be discharged up. You should NEVER spay an animal that's in heat. Another area that's heavily contended is at what age your female animal can be spayed. Generally, a good consensus on this is about six months.

# 3: Is My Animal Overweight?

Although there is no clinically definitive ascertain standard for obesity in animals, such as the human BMI scale, generally an animal is considered to be overweight if it is about 15% over the breed's accepted ideal weight. They are considered obese if they are 30% over that same standard.

# 4: Should I Brush My Pet's Teeth?

General veterinarian consensus is that no, brushing your pet's teeth is not a harmful course of action. In fact, many vets say that without proper home maintenance, professional teeth cleanings for your pet are almost completely useless. Remember, do not use human toothpaste! This can harm your pet!

If you treat your pet well and care for them right, they can be some of the best company you ever have. Like all company, though; your pet can tragically leave you early if you do …

Urology – Common Health Conditions

Many people think of a urologist when they consider conditions like prostate cancer and incontinence, but urology actually covers a much wider range of conditions. Urologists treat all diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Some of the most common conditions people turn to the urologist for are as follows:

Cancer

Urology covers the treatment of urologic cancers and cancers in the male reproductive system, most common prostate cancer. Cancer found in the bladder, kidney, testicles or prostate are all sometimes treated by a urologist, and are also all fairly common. Prostate cancer, for instance, is the most common non-skin cancer in American males, and one in every 10 men will have the condition at some point in his life. Bladder cancer is the ninth most common type of cancer among American women.

Male Sexual Dysfunction

Urology also covers the treatment of male sexual dysfunction, which most commonly manifests as impotence (erectile dysfunction). Impotence occurs for many reasons, including aging, damage to the nerves or muscles in the reproductive organs, or as a side effect of another chronic disease. It has a variety of treatments, including those that help a man make an erection naturally and those that use devices to attain an artificial erection. Sometimes urologist are utilized to help couples deal with male infertility and attain a successful pregnancy.

Incontinence

Incontinence, or the inability to hold urine in the bladder adequately, is quite common. Many women experience this problem after pregnancy and childbirth, as the muscles of the pelvic floor become stretched and damaged. It can also occur as a part of the aging process, even without a pregnancy. Urologists have a variety of treatments available, including medications to control bladder spasms, physical therapy to improve the tone of the pelvic floor muscles, and surgery to reconstruct some of the support around the bladder. The goal of this aspect of urology is to restore a patient's dignity through improving his or her quality of life.

Pediatric Care

Pediatric urology often deals with birth defects affecting the urinary tract or the male reproductive organs. Common birth defects include an abnormally located urethral organ, distention of the kidney, ureteropelvic junction obstruction, and undescended testicles. Sometimes pediatric patients also need the help of a urologist when struggling with chronic urinary tract infections. Urologists can also help with chronic bedwetting problems. Children who need the help of a urologist are typically referred to one by their pediatrician. …
